Israel-Lebanon War : Displaced Lebanese Residents Return Home Amid Devastation

After the declaration of a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, thousands of Lebanese families are finally returning home following the ceasefire, but they face a bittersweet reality. While the displacement has ended, many are arriving to find their neighborhoods in ruins and their houses leveled. Entire apartment blocks have been leveled, leaving many to search for homes that no longer exist.

While the 10-day truce remains fragile, the human cost is still coming to light. Rescue workers are still clearing rubble to find those missing, while survivors tell stories of being trapped under collapsed walls. Despite the lack of electricity and the risk of further strikes, the people remain defiant. Many say they would rather live in the ruins of their own land than stay away.
