Lebanon Attacks: Photographers On Ground Recollect Horrific Moments From Israel's Attacks On Beirut

Photographers in Lebanon discussed the powerful pictures they captured on the deadliest day since the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, a militant organization supported by Iran, resumed in March.

More than 300 people were murdered in Lebanon, most of them in Beirut, while bodies are being identified at hospitals, and more remains are being recovered from the debris. 1,150 people were injured in the extensive strikes that shook Lebanon, particularly in crowded areas of Beirut, according to the Health Ministry.

Despite their absence of diplomatic ties, Israel unexpectedly announced that it has authorized direct discussions with Lebanon. The Lebanese administration did not immediately react to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's announcement that he had authorized direct negotiations.
