Nepal Gen-Z Protests: Nepal Finance Minister Beaten Amid Unrest

Nepal’s Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel was attacked by Gen-Z protesters as unrest escalates after the September 4, 2025 social media ban. The clashes have left 19 protesters dead and hundreds injured, while homes of leaders were targeted and several ministers resigned. Protesters even set the Parliament on fire. Although the ban is lifted and PM KP Oli has resigned under pressure, curfews remain across Kathmandu as Gen-Z demonstrators continue their call for reforms.
