Pakistan Targets India? Khawaja Asif Links Operation Sindoor To New Saudi-Turkey Defence Pact

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has linked Operation Sindoor to the new defence agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. While the three countries call the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement a defensive pact, Asif’s remarks have brought India and its growing ties with Afghanistan into the picture.

The pact comes as West Asia faces growing tensions involving Iran, Israel and other regional powers. With Turkey hinting that the grouping could expand beyond three countries, including potentially Egypt, a new security equation may be taking shape across the region.
