US-Iran-Israel War: Trump Unveils Iran's Alleged 'Big Present' Amid Claims Of Negotiations
President Donald Trump claimed that Iran sent the United States a surprise “present” consisting of ten large oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz as a gesture of goodwill. Trump said the tankers were part of Iran’s attempt to show sincerity in ongoing peace talks. He also revealed that the US had sent Iran a 15-point peace plan through Pakistan as a mediator. Trump insisted that Iran is “begging” for a deal and described them as excellent negotiators, even as he mocked their military capabilities.
However, Iranian officials have strongly denied any direct negotiations with the United States. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi clarified that Iran has only received indirect messages through third countries and has responded with its own positions, but no formal talks are taking place. The contradictory statements have raised questions about whether real diplomacy is underway or if both sides are engaged in psychological warfare and public posturing.
