Islamabad: Senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) cadre Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz has reportedly died under mysterious circumstances at the Quba Mosque in Islamabad.
According to the reports, Abdul Aziz had eaten food at an undisclosed location before travelling to the mosque to offer prayers. He allegedly collapsed near the mosque's entrance shortly after arriving and died. The exact cause of his death remains unclear.
Abdul Aziz was reportedly associated with a LeT department responsible for maintaining contact with and providing assistance to the families of militants belonging to the Pakistan-based terror group who were killed in encounters in Jammu and Kashmir.
The circumstances surrounding Abdul Aziz's reported death have raised questions, particularly because of the sudden nature of the incident and the lack of clarity over what happened after he ate at the undisclosed location.
As of now, it remains unclear whether the death was due to a medical emergency, suspected poisoning or any other cause. There is no verified evidence at this stage to conclude that Abdul Aziz was deliberately targeted.
Further details are awaited from Pakistani authorities or other credible sources.
