Washington: Donald Trump on Wednesday said that it's upto Europe and not the United States to promise Ukraine security guarantees, as the US President negotiates a peace deal between Kyiv and Moscow to end the war. Trump made these remarks while speaking to press as he held his first cabinet meeting at the White House on Wednesday. DOGE head and his close aide Elon Musk and other cabinet members were present in the meeting.

Responding to when asked whether US will give security guarantees to Ukraine, Trump said that he's not going to make too much security guarantees and rather will have Europe to do that.

Trump also informed that Zelenskyy will be travelling to Washington on Friday during which he will hold discussions on Ukraine's rare earth and surely have a deal on that, in order to get back the money the United States has spent in the war.

Ukraine should forget NATO, Trump makes it clear

Speaking to reporters when asked about security guarantees to Kyiv, Trump said he's not sure about the security guarantees but one thing is that the Ukraine should forget about NATO, that's probably the reason everything (war) started at the first place with Russia.

He then asked Vice President JD Vance to pitch on Ukraine war who said, “We're not going to do the negotiation in public with the American media... Every single time the President engages in diplomacy, you guys pre-emptively accuse him of conceding to Russia. He hasn't conceded anything to anyone. He's doing the job of a diplomat.”

The President will engage in negotiations privately with both his counterparts – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine's Zelenskyy, the Vice President said.

Biden did a horrible job in preventing the war, says Trump

Continuing speaking on Russia-Ukraine, President Trump brutally slammed his predecessor saying Joe Biden did a horrible job in preventing the war, adding it should have never got started. It didn't start during the four years he was the President but now they will try to get back as much as possible for Ukraine.
