US Airstrike Eliminates Senior Al-Qaeda Terror Group Affiliate Leader In Syria

Washington: In a major counterterrorism operation, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that a precision airstrike in Syria killed a senior military leader of Hurras Al-Din (HaD), an Al-Qaeda affiliate. The US Military confirmed that Muhammed Yusuf Ziya Talay, a senior military leader of Al-Qaeda affiliate, was killed in the airstrike marking a substantial blow to the terrorist organisation's operations in the region. Notably, the airstrike was carried out in Northwest Syria, which led to the killing of the Al-Qaeda terrorist.

The US airstrikes have reportedly disrupted and degraded terrorist efforts in Syria. According to General Michael Erik Kurilla, Commander of CENTCOM, "As we have said in the past, we will continue to relentlessly pursue these terrorists in order to defend our homeland, and US, allied, and partner personnel in the region."
