BCCI Unveils India's Official T20 World Cup 2026 Jersey In The Presence Of Former Captain Rohit Sharma

Team India has unveiled the official T20 World Cup jersey in Raipur during the innings break of 2nd Odi against South Africa. Tilak Varma and T20 World Cup brand ambassador Rohit Sharma were present on the occasion alongside BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia.

Rohit guided India to their second T20 World Cup crown last year, and the former Indian captain wished Suryakumar Yadav and Co. for the upcoming tournament, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka.

He said, “It’s been a long journey. We won our first World Cup in 2007, and we had to wait more than 15 years to win the next one. It’s been a long road with plenty of ups and downs, but it felt great to lift the trophy again. Now, with the World Cup happening in India, it’s going to be an exciting tournament. My best wishes are always with the team, and I’m sure everyone will be behind them, supporting them and doing their best."

The jersey bears a rich blue foundation complemented by striking orange panels on both sides. The tricolour now adorns the collar, while new vertical blue stripes across the front give the jersey a vibrant look. T20I captain Surya Kumar Yadav is busy with his domestic commitments as he has been involved in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Mumbai.

BCCI announced India's T20I squad for the South Africa series, and Shubman Gill has been included in the 15-member contingent. Rinku Singh couldn't find a place, while Hardik Pandya has made a return after a prolonged absence due to injury. Jasprit Bumrah has also returned to the T20I setup after getting a rest in the ODI series.
