GATE 2025: The online registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 with late fees is set to conclude today (October 7). Candidates who have not yet registered can do so by visiting the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The registration fee is Rs 900 for SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates, while it is Rs 1,800 for unreserved category candidates. Those applying with a late fee will need to pay Rs 1,400 for female, SC, ST, and Divyang candidates, and Rs 2,300 for others.

GATE 2025 will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, across two shifts each day. Candidates in their final year of graduation or those pursuing a degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, or Humanities are eligible to apply. Importantly, there is no age limit for applicants.

Visit the Official Website: Go to gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

Find the Apply Online Link: Click on the ‘Apply Online’ option on the homepage.

Register on the Portal: Provide the required details to create an account.

Fill Out the Application Form: Log in and complete the GATE 2025 application form, uploading the necessary documents.

Pay the Application Fee: Complete the payment process and proceed.

GATE 2025 Registration Deadline

Last Date for Application: The online registration for GATE 2025 will close today, October 7, 2024, at 11:59 PM.

Late Application Fees: Candidates applying during the late registration period will pay:

  • Rs 1,400 for SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates.
  • Rs 2,300 for all other candidates.

Eligibility for GATE 2025

  • Candidates must have a degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities.
  • Those in the third year or higher of their undergraduate programs are also eligible.
  • Professional certifications equivalent to BE/BTech/BArch/BPlanning degrees approved by MoE, AICTE, UGC , or UPSC are accepted.

Required Documents for Registration

  • High-quality image of the candidate's photograph.
  • High-quality image of the candidate's signature.
  • SC/ST certificate (if applicable).
  • PwD certificate (if applicable).
  • Dyslexia certificate (if applicable).
  • Valid photo identity document (Aadhaar, Passport, PAN, Voter ID, or Driver's License).

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities. GATE 2025 will be a computer-based test (CBT) and is being organised by Indian Institutes of Technology Roorkee. The examination will be conducted by IISc Bengaluru and seven IITs ( IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee), on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI).
