Raha Is Mini You: Ranbir Kapoor's Sister Riddhima Remembers Rishi Kapoor On 72nd Birth Anniversary

Rishi Kapoor Birth Anniversary: The veteran actor breathed his last on 30 April 2020. He is survived by his wife Neetu Kapoor and children Ranbir and Riddhima, who often take to social media to remember him fondly. On the occasion of his birth anniversary, his daughter Riddhima Kapoor penned a special note for the star. 

Riddhima Kapoor’s heartfelt note for father 

On late star Rishi Kapoor’s 72nd birth anniversary on Wednesday, his daughter Riddhima remembered her “papa” in a heartfelt note. In the note attached to the post, she mentioned Raha, daughter of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. She wrote, “Happy Birthday Papa. How I wish you were here celebrating your special day with both your granddaughters. Your ‘Bandar’ Sam is all grown up and baby Raha is the cutest- She is mini you.”

She added that she misses the star with each passing day. “Papa I will always cherish the memories we got to share. We miss you so much, and our love for you only deepens with each passing day,” she wrote. 

About Rishi Kapoor and his cause of death

Rishi Kapoor was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He breathed his last in the hospital the next day i.e. on Thursday, April 30, 2020. The actor was being diagnosed with leukaemia and battled the disease for two years. He was in the US for more than 11 months for his treatment. 

In an illustrious career spanning five decades, Rishi Kapoor delivered some of his best performances in films such as Rafoo Chakkar, Agneepath, Housefull, and more. After attaining massive success from the '70s to '90s, the actor featured in lesser films. But despite that he stood out with his impressive performances in those character roles. Rishi Kapoor fell in love and married actress Neetu Singh on January 22, 1980, who stayed with him through thick and thin.
