Salman Khan is busy promoting his upcoming movie Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna . During one such event on Wednesday, the actor broke the silence over the death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He said his life is in the hands of god, and he will live as per the Almighty's wish. "Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logo ko sath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wahi dikkat aa jati hai," he was quoted as saying.
The actor has been receiving death threats for two years now, owing to which his security was also beefed up in and around him and his house. Last year in April, bike-borne gunmen opened fire outside Khan's Bandra residence. A few months later, in October, a threatening message on the Traffic Police's Whatsapp helpline number was sent, saying they would kill Khan and Maharashtra NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique if they failed to pay ₹2 crore.
During the same event, Khan candidly spoke about the quality of the films being made in Bollywood. Commenting on Bollywood's dull phase at the box office, Khan said that poor content is the reason behind the dull reception. "Jab itni gandi pictures banengi to flop to hongi hi. Jab banti hi gandi films hain, including my own. If it doesn't work, it's a bad film, it works, it's a very good film," he said.
Khan witnessed his first major flop when his film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan released in 2013. Co-starring Pooja Hegde, Raghav Juyal, Shehnaaz Gill and Palak Tiwari, the movie failed to recover the money.
Coming back to Sikandar, the movie will hit the theatres tomorrow, March 28, ahead of Eid-ul-fitr.
