Joker 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Devara Proves To Be A Hurdle For Joaquin Phoenix Starrer

Joker 2 Vs Devara: One of the most anticipated movies of the year which is scheduled to release globally on October 4, finally hit the big screens in India on October 2. Despite several film festivals, the film got an early release in India. With the release of Joaquin Phoenix starrer, Jr NTR starrer Devara’s Hindi version has slowed down. Will it able to make more numbers?

Joker 2 Vs Devara: Which film and how much did it earn more?

Joker 2 which released on October 2 in India, has reportedly started on a positive note. According to a report in Sacnilk, Joker: Folie a Deux had an overall 24.77% English Occupancy on Wednesday. The highest occupancy was recorded in Chennai (55.50%), followed by Bengaluru (34%), Hyderabad (29%) and Kochi (27.50%). Joker: Folie a Deux has earned around 3.41 Cr India net on its first day for all languages.

Where as Jr NTR starrer Devara: Part 1 Hindi version, it had an overall 29.88% Hindi Occupancy on Wednesday. Devara’s highest occupancy was recorded in Pune (38.50%), Bengaluru (36.00%), Jaipur and Mumbai (29%) and Lucknow (27.50%).

All about Joker 2 and Devara: Part 1

Joker: Folie a Deux, sequel to the 2019 film. Directed by Todd Philips’ directorial musical psychological thriller film stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.The supporting cast includes Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey. Zazie Beetz returns as Sophie from the first film. The film released in India on October 2 and is scheduled to release globally on October 4.

Devara: Part 1

Devara is a two-part film that features Jr NTR in a dual role, playing both father and son. A few days ago, the makers unveiled the trailer of the movie that shows the movie is set in the landscapes of a coastal area. It also showcased high-octane stunts performed by Jr NTR and Saif. 

In the movie, Janhvi plays the role of Jr NTR's love interest.  The cast also includes Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko and Narain in supporting roles.
