On March 27, following the release of the film, the big mystery surrounding its villain was solved. Cine-goers who caught early shows of he movie took to their social media account that not Aamir Khan but Korean actor Rick Yune is the villain in the movie.

L2 Empuraan sequel title revealed

L2 Empuraan is the sequel to the 2019 hit film Lucifer. The makers have announced that a third part of the movie is in the works and will be released soon. While not much about the project is revealed, social media users shared videos from the theatre hall with the name of the third film rolling after the post-credits. The third part of the movie is called - L3: The Beginning.
