L2: Empuraan Trailer Out: Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran's highly anticipated movie, which is slated to release later this month, is creating a heavy buzz on the internet. At midnight, the team of Empuraan finally unveiled the trailer of the movie, offering a peek into the second installment of Lucifer (2019). The trailer has taken over X  (formerly known as Twitter) with netizens singing the praise of Mollywood stalwarts.

First let us look at the trailer that marks the return of Mohanlal as Khureshi Ab'raam / Stephen Nedumpally, who is here to save the day. The over 3-minute trailer shows Mohanlal being called for help. As the video continued, Sachin Khedekar’s PK Ramdas entered the frame, making it clear that his children are not his legacy but his followers are. Tovino Thomas, who is playing the role of Sachin's son, is shown leading his party. The trailer also offers a glimpse of Manju Warrier as Priyadarshini Ramdas and other actors.

Soon after the trailer was released, the netizens flooded X with their reviews. A user hailed Prithviraj and wrote, "One thing is for sure Prithviraj knows how to make a mass movie. The trailer shows the scale of the film. When made perfectly, no one can beat Mohanlal in mass cinema and the same excitement I had when the Lucifer trailer was released is back."

Another shared a few stills from the trailer and wrote, "In this situation every head must bow, every tongue must confess, this is the greatest of all time."

Not just actors, netizens also praised Deepak Dev for his music in the movie. A user shared a clip collage on X and wrote, "I'm still stuck here. Mr. Deepak Dev, what have you done man !!" Another wrote, "Anirudh was the predictable choice, but Prithvi's decision to bring Deepak on board was a stroke of creative genius, and he proved it again."

SS Rajamouli hailed the trailer and wrote, "#EMPURAAN trailer hooked me from the very first shot… @Mohanlal sir’s commanding presence is truly magnetic! Massive scale, stunning action this already feels like a blockbuster @PrithviOfficial."

L2: Empuraan is slated to hit the theatres on March 27. The makers have opened overseas advance booking, while in India the ticket windows for the movie will open on Friday, March 21.
