Thalapathy 69 Cast Fees: Tamil superstar Vijay is set to bow out of acting with a bang in Thalapathy 69, his final film before fully dedicating himself to politics. This much-awaited project has officially been greenlited and will be directed by H. Vinoth. The final cast, includes Pooja Hegde as Vijay's love interest, Bobby Deol as antagonist, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj and Priyamani. However, what's generating buzz is the staggering cast fees for this epic saga.

Cast salary: Bobby Deol did not get a hike for Thalapathy 69?

According to recent reports from Track Tollywood, Thalapathy Vijay is set to earn a whopping ₹275 crores for his role in Thalapathy 69, making him the highest-paid actor in the film. This will be his final film before entering politics, and he aims to leave a lasting mark on the industry. On the other side, Bobby Deol who will stand opposite to Vijay is reportedly receiving ₹5 crores for his role. Bobby Deol had previously reportedly charged ₹4-5 crores for his action film Animal.  With this Bobby Deol's fee is just 1.81% of what Vijay is earning for the Thalapathy 69.

Apart from Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde has been cast as the leading actress. The supporting cast includes Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, and Monisha Blessy. However, their salaries have not yet been disclosed. The film, a political action thriller, will be directed by H Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions. The official title is yet to be announced.

Is Thalapathy 69 a remake of Nandamuri Balakrishna's Bhagavanth Kesari?

A few days back, there were rumours that Thalapathy 69 might be a remake of the hit film Bhagavanth Kesari. Reports suggest Vijay could replace Balakrishna in the lead role, with Mamitha Baiju and Bobby Deol taking on the parts played by Sree Leela and Arjun Rampal.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet, fans are concerned. Remakes often fail to replicate the original's charm, sparking worry about how Thalapathy 69 will turn out if it follows this path.
