Cattle Heist In Bhopal: 47 Cows Stolen From Gaushala, Police Recover Livestock
A total of 47 cattle, including calves, were stolen from a Gaushala located in the outskirts of Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal.
Bhopal: In a shocking incident, a total of 47 cattle, including calves, were stolen from a Gaushala located in the outskirts of Madhya Pradesh 's capital Bhopal.
According to the police, the Gaushala is located in Runaha village, a search operation was launched which led to recovery of the cows after receiving a complaint from the caretaker.
"A Gaushala is located in Runaha village under Nazirabad police station in the district and no people were there on September 18, they might have been busy in Ganesh idol immersion or other work. On that day, during the night, 47 cattle, including calves, were stolen by some unknown persons. The matter came to light on the following day, when the caretaker of Gaushala went to give fodder and water to cattle," said Pramod Kumar Sinha, Superintendent of Police (SP Rural), Bhopal.
The official added that the miscreant has been identified and a search operation is underway to nab the accused.
"Based on the CCTV footage, the police have identified the accused and the team began searching and we will arrest them soon. When we checked the previous crime records with the name of the accused identified, it came to light that the accused used to steal animals and sell them," SP Sinha said.
