PM Modi, Gujarat CM Announce Ex-Gratia To Victims Of Mehsana Tragedy
PM Modi and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel announced ex-gratia to victims of the Mehsana tragedy.
Mehsana: PM Modi announced an ex-gratia to victims of the Mehsana tragedy. He shared a tweet that says, ‘An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakhs from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased in the mishap in Mehsana, Gujarat . Rs. 50,000 would be given to those injured.’
Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel also announced Rs 4 lakh compensation to victims of the Mehsana tragedy from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Sharing a tweet from his Twitter account, he wrote, ‘The incident of loss of life due to the wall collapse in Mehsana is very sad. I express my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. Procedures for rescue and quick treatment of the injured have been carried out by the system. I pray to God for his speedy recovery.’

Nine labourers were killed after soil caved in on them at a construction site in Gujarat 's Mehsana district on Saturday.
The incident occurred near Kadi town, around 37 km from the district headquarters.
Several labourers were digging a pit for an underground tank for a factory at Jasalpur village when loose soil caved in and buried them alive, inspector Prahaladsinh Vaghela of Kadi police station said.
