Himani Narwal Murder: Accused Claims He Had Affair With Congress Worker, Killed Her Over Extortion

New Delhi: The man who has been arrested in the Himani Narwal Murder Case, has made shocking claims during the investigation; the accused has claimed to have been in a relationship with the Congress worker and he also alleged that she had been blackmailing him for money. 

Himani Narwal Murder Case Accused Claims He Had An Affair with Congress Worker

The accused, Sachin has made a huge confession following his arrest in the Himani Narwal Murder Case. Sachin claimed that he had an affair with the Congress worker and that she had also been blackmailing him for money. However, Himani's family has rejected these claims. The accused has been arrested by the Haryana Police today, two days after the cold-blooded murder of the Congress member.

‘Himani Was Blackmailing Me for Money, Had Extorted Lakhs’: 

The accused in the Himani Narwal murder case has also made shocking allegations of extortion and blackmail against the Congress worker. According to the accused, she had extorted lakhs of money from him and had been blackmailing him for more money.

Sachin confessed to the crime and said that because he was frustrated by 22-year-old Himani Narwal's constant demand for money, he killed her at her ancestral home in Rohtak, Haryana.

Himani Narwal's mother has completely refuted the claims made by the accused. The Congress worker's mother went on to say that her daughter was an open book and she has never demanded money from anyone so there was no question of blackmailing and extortion. Himani's brother also said that she had a large heart and so all these ‘stories’ are being made by the accused, for his own safety from the police. The Congress worker's family has demanded a CBI probe in the matter and believes that the police may have been pressurised to believe what the accused has been saying.

On being asked if she knew about a man named Sachin, Himani's mother said that there was a man by this name who worked in the Election Office. She narrated an incident from the time when a man named Sachin came home drunk and Himani ‘held him by the collar’ and threw him out of the house, warning him to work with honesty and righteousness.

String of Tragedies in the Narwal Family

Himani Narwal's gruesome murder is not the first such tragedy in the family. According to sources, her father had committed suicide four years ago and her elder brother had been murdered 14 years ago. Adding to the tragic incidents in the family, Himani was brutally murdered and her body was found in a suitcase.

Himani Narwal, a young Congress worker from Sonepat, Haryana, was tragically murdered on Saturday, March 1, and her body was found stuffed in a suitcase. Narwzal hailed from the Kathura village in Sonepat, and gained recognition within the Congress circles through her active participation in major political events, including the Haryana election campaigns. An engaged and committed office-bearer of the Youth Congress in Rohtak, Himani Narwal’s energetic involvement with senior leaders like Bhupinder Hooda and Deepinder Hooda made her an important figure in the campaign. She also drew attention when she joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which highlighted her rising influence within the party, especially among the youth.
