IT Engineer Drugged and Gang-Raped by Boyfriend and his friends, Mumbai Police Registers the Case

In a disturbing incident that has emerged from Mumbai, a young IT engineer from Pune has been the victim of a gang rape. The crime, which took place in a hotel in Kandivali and in a car, involved four individuals who allegedly drugged the victim by mixing a substance in her soft drink. 

The accused, who have been identified, threatened to circulate explicit images of the victim to extort Rs 30 lakh and steal two iPhones from her. A formal complaint has been registered against all four suspects, and the police are actively searching for them. 

The primary accused in this horrific crime is revealed to be the victim's boyfriend, identified as Tameem Harasalla Khan, who resides in Kandivali. Reports indicate that the victim, originally from Karnataka, was working as an IT engineer in Pune. She met Khan on Facebook in 2021, and what began as a friendship eventually turned into a romantic relationship. Tameem lured the victim under the pretense of marriage and invited her to Mumbai for a meeting. 

Following their plan, the victim arrived in Mumbai, where they met at a hotel in Kandivali. It was there that Tameem allegedly drugged her drink, leading to her unconsciousness. He then assaulted her and transported her to Pune in a car, where he continued to sexually assault her. Tameem subsequently called three accomplices, who took turns raping her. Some of the accused are also reported to have engaged in unnatural acts. 

The group then took explicit photographs of the victim, threatening her with their release unless she complied with their demands for money. Following the victim's report, a zero FIR was registered at the Hadapsar-Kalepadal police station in Pune against the four men for gang rape and unnatural offenses, The same FIR has been now transferred to Kandivali Police station in Mumbai.  

The Kandivali police station, based in Mumbai, has started further investigations as they work to apprehend all the accused involved in this case.
