Major Shooting Plot Averted In Patna As Police Arrests 3 Sharpshooters

Patna: In a major success for the Patna Police, three sharpshooters planning to carry out a major crime in the city were arrested on Monday. 

The accused have been identified as Rohan Kumar, Ujjwal Kumar and Prashant Kumar alias Badshah. 

According to police, they were planning to carry out a major incident in the Digha area. 

Police further stated that 3 bullets and two 315 bore bullets were recovered from their possession. 

“Acting on a tip-off, a team of Digha police conducted a raid in the house of one Mantu Kumar in Yaduvanshi Nagar, where three criminals had assembled to commit a crime under Digha PS area,” an official said. 

“Rohan along with his associates Badshah and Ujjwal had shot at one Mithilesh Kumar Singh at Araap village under Bikram police station area on August 22. After carrying out the crime, they were hiding in Yaduvanshi Nagar and planning to commit another crime. All the accused have criminal records,” he added. 

A case has been registered under the section of murder, attempt to murder and arms Act. 

Further investigation is under, an official said.
