Malad Acid Attack: Husband Throws Acid on Wife After Affair Disclosed

Mumbai: In a horrifying incident, a man allegedly threw acid on his wife's face after she asked for a divorce amid discovering his extramarital affair. The woman filed a complaint over the incident.

The incident occurred in Mumbai's Malavani area on Wednesday, September 25, when the 27-year-old woman was at her parent's house. As per the complaint, the 34-year-old man entered the house and threw the flammable liquid (acid) on her face, causing severe burns on her face.

The woman was rushed to Cooper Hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.

The police have registered a case against the man under sections 124(2), 311, 333 and 352 under the IPC and further investigation is underway. More details in the case are awaited.
