No End to Sanatan Slander: Now Congress MLA Compares Hindu Saints With 'Awara Saand', Stokes Huge Row

Satna: Congress MLA from Amarpatan Dr. Rajendra Kumar Singh has stirred a massive controversy with his provocative statement in which he has compared the Hindu saints and Mahamandaleshwars to ‘Awara Saand’ (Stray Bulls). The remarks, made during a district-level workers' conference in Satna, have sparked huge criticism from the Sanatanis and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing the party workers, Dr. Singh said that the BJP has been using religious figures to push their political agenda. “Sadhus, Saints, Sanyasis, Baba Bairagis, and Mahamandaleshwars have been left among the public,” he said.

Continuing his derogatory remarks against the Hindu saints, he said that BJP has tutored the religious leaders to speak about Hindutva, promote BJP, and speak of Sanatan Dharma wherever they go. Singh further criticised the current state of constitutional institutions, warning that 'the identity of India, of secularism, of socialism, of the strength of constitutional institutions, everything is crumbling…it is a huge challenge’.

This has ignited a massive political firestorm, with BJP leaders targeting the Congress over its repeated attempts to insult Hindu religious figures and Sanatan Dharma. 

Madhya Pradesh Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang strongly condemned Singh’s remarks comparing saints and sages to bulls. “Insulting Hindu deities and Sanatan is an old habit of Congress,” he lambasted the party for playing vote bank politics. 

The BJP has demanded an apology from the Congress MLA for this extremely objectionable comparison disrespecting Sanatan Dharma. 

Sarang also highlighted how in the past Congress tried to create obstacles in the construction of Ram temple and conspire to destroy Ram Setu. “Is Congress plotting to destroy Hindu religion?” The MP Minister asked.

Demanding a strict and immediate action against Congress MLA Rajendra Kumar Singh, Vishwas Kailash Sarang said that if the party fails to so, its anti-Hindu stance will get evident.

Congress is yet to issue any official clarification.

Akhil Bhartiya Sant Samiti also launched a sharp attack on Congress. “Taint of corruption and anti-Hindu stance will bring the end of Congress. What is left anyway? But, whatever is left, won’t survive for much long.
