Mumbai: Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh is under scanner as stunning new twists have emerged in the deaths of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian. In an explosive revelation to Republic Media Network, the lawyer in the Disha Salian's death case, Nilesh Ojha claimed that several senior police officers, including former Mumbai CP Parambir Singh, were involved in a massive cover-up in the case. Ojha claimed that they have solid proof of Singh's involvement in the cover-up and demanded that he be questioned in connection with the case. "Parambir Singh is one of the accused," Ojha asserted, adding that "these are not charges, but facts".

Notably, Satish Salian, Disha's father, has filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court, seeking a fresh investigation into his daughter's death, which he alleges was a murder, not a suicide. Meanwhile, the latest developments in the case have raised more questions than answers.

According to Advocate Ojha, a sting operation conducted by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) AP Nikunj has revealed a shocking conspiracy to present the Disha-SSR murder case as a suicide. The sting operation, which was recorded on video and shared with the Republic Media Network on a pen drive, allegedly showed that the conspiracy involved presenting a fake postmortem report with a doctor.

Nilesh Ojha, who is representing Disha Salian's father, Satish Salian in the case, dropped a bombshell while talking exclusively to the Republic Media Network. "We have solid proof that Parambir Singh was involved in the cover-up," Ojha asserted, adding that there is evidence to suggest that Singh was a co-conspirator in the case. The lawyer demanded that Singh be questioned in connection with the case, stating that he is one of the accused.

The Salian's lawyer claimed that the conspiracy involved presenting a fake postmortem report with the help of a doctor. The allegations have sent shockwaves through the community, with many demanding justice for the victims and their families. Earlier, it was concluded that Disha Salian's death was accidental, stating that she fell from the balcony of her 14th-floor apartment after losing her balance under the influence of alcohol. However, these investigation findings were met with skepticism by many, who believed that there was more to the case than meets the eye.

The plea filed by Satish Salian has sought direction to the Mumbai police to register an FIR based on a written complaint given by activist and lawyer Rashid Khan Pathan in January 2024 against Shiv Sena-UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray. The plea has also sought to transfer the probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Lawyer's Shocking Revelations On Alleged Parambir Singh's Role

As the investigation into the deaths of Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput continues, advocate Nilesh Ojha has underscored shocking details, alleging that Parambir Singh, the then Commissioner of Police, is one of the accused. The former Mumbai top cop has come under fire for his alleged involvement in the Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput cases. Advocate Nilesh Ojha, who has been closely following the developments, stated, "Parambir Singh's actions are highly suspicious. By claiming that the conspiracy theories are fake, he was trying to divert attention from the real issues." Ojha further added, "The fact that Parambir Singh held a press conference to deny Aaditya Thackeray's involvement raises more questions than answers."

Advocate Nilesh Ojha expressed concerns about the police's handling of the case, stating, "The self-contradicting statements made by DCP Nishant Thakur and Parambir Singh's attempts to downplay the conspiracy theories suggest a larger cover-up." Ojha asserted on the need for a thorough investigation, saying, "It is imperative that the truth is uncovered, and those responsible are held accountable. The families of Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput deserve justice, and it is our duty to ensure that they receive it." As the investigation continues, one thing is clear: the truth behind the deaths of Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput is still shrouded in mystery.

'DCP Nishant Thakur's Contradictory Statements'

In a press conference, DCP Thakur attempted to clarify the circumstances surrounding Disha Salian's death. However, his statements have been found to be contradictory and false. Thakur claimed that Disha's body was not naked, as reported by the media, and that her parents had identified her body at the hospital. However, this claim has been disproven, as Disha's father saw her body only after 50 hours, following the post-mortem examination.

Ojha said, “Many media and more particularly Arnab Goswami (Republic Media Network's Editor-in-Chief) raised the matter, and picked up the story. Then a press was conducted by two people — one was DCP Nishant Thakur and another was Parambir Singh.”

“DCP Nishant Thakur said that Disha Salian dead body was naked or had no clothes and the talks taking place in the media were wrong because when the dead body was received, her parents reached the spot soon. Disha's parents had come there and it was in front of them ‘Panchnama hua tha’. This was completely false…. and two things that prove this — one is Disha's father saw her when she was taken to the hospital but he was not shown her face and second he saw her face after 50 hours or 2 days after post-mortem,” the lawyer stated.

“DCP Nishant Thakur's lies is proven by police because they are self-contradicting because they don't know who is saying what,” he added.

'Parambir Singh's Press Conference'

Parambir Singh, who was present at the press conference alongside DCP Nishant Thakur, made a startling claim. He stated that the police had reviewed all CCTV footage and found no evidence to support the conspiracy theories circulating in the media. Singh also denied the involvement of Aaditya Thackeray in the case, who according to Salian's lawyer was one of the accused in the case.

“Now let’s come to the main accused of this case, Parambir Singh, he called a presser and said that they have seen all the CCTVs and other things and the conspiracy theories that are being played in media were all fake. Aaditya Thackeray was not present there, which was again wrong,” Advocate Ojha asserted.

He underlined that the contradictory statements made by DCP Nishant Thakur and Parambir Singh's attempts to downplay the conspiracy theories have raised suspicions about their involvement in the case.

Pattern Of Cover-Ups

The case has been marred by controversy and allegations of cover-ups from the very beginning. In February 2022, Disha Salian's father had appealed to media persons to leave them alone, stating that politicians were maligning their daughter's name by raising questions over the circumstances surrounding her death.

However, the latest revelations have only added to the growing suspicion that something is amiss in the case. The plea filed by Satish Salian has alleged that the Mumbai Police hastily closed the case as a suicide without taking into account forensic evidence, circumstantial proofs, and eyewitness testimonies. "The pattern of deception, cover-ups, and evidence suppression demonstrates that this was a state-sponsored operation to protect the guilty, rather than a genuine criminal investigation," the plea reads.

Demand For Justice

As the investigation continues, the demand for justice for Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian is growing louder. The families of the victims, along with their supporters, are seeking answers and demanding that those responsible for the cover-up be held accountable.

"We expect the court to take cognizance of the matter soon," said Nilesh Ojha, Satish Salian's lawyer. The case is scheduled to be heard in the Bombay High Court on April 2. He further added, "We will not rest until justice is served." He also echoed the sentiments of many who are following the case closely. As the truth begins to unravel, it appears that the case of Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian's death is far from over.
