Delaware: When asked by the press whether the Quad would survive after the US elections in November, President Joe Biden firmly replied with Confidence, " way beyond November...," while placing a hand on the shoulder of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi , at the summit event in Delaware, on Saturday.

The exchange took place during a high-level Quad Summit at Archmere Academy in Delaware, which is President Biden's hometown, where leaders of the US, India, Japan, and Australia gathered for the event.

At the summit, Biden, Modi, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida held discussions and talked about global issues, including maritime security, climate change, and technological advancements.

Major focus of the Quad's agenda continues to be promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific, particularly in response to China’s assertive actions in the region.

Biden's statement reaffirmed the strength of the Quad alliance, as India has already agreed to host the 2025 Quad Summit following the request from US to host this year's event. During the summit, President Biden also unveiled a new ‘cancer moonshot’ initiative.

India is all set host the next Quad Leaders' Summit in 2025, after request from the United State to host the event this year.
