REVA University Welcomes Freshmen Batch of 2024-25

Bengaluru: REVA University, a pioneer in higher education, proudly inaugurated the induction and orientation program for its Freshmen Batch 2024-2025 on Thursday. The event, held at Saugandhika, REVA University, was graced by Mr. Rohan M. Ganapathy, CEO and CTO of Bellatrix Aerospace, Bangalore, as the Guest of Honour. Dr. P. Shyama Raju, Chancellor of REVA University, presided over the function, reiterating the University’s commitment to creating a holistic and nurturing educational environment. Mr Umesh S. Raju, Pro Chancellor also graced the occasion.

In his keynote address, Mr. Ganapathy shared his remarkable entrepreneurial journey in the space sector, aiming to inspire the new batch of students. "I believe that sky is not the limit, space is the ultimate frontier. I encourage all of you to harness your ideas and strive to become job creators by the time you graduate,” he said. 

Reflecting on his early years, Mr. Ganapathy shared, “I founded Bellatrix during my second year of engineering at the age of 19. I faced numerous challenges and setbacks, but persistence was the key to the success.” He further advised students on nurturing their ideas, stating, “Focus is crucial. If you believe in your idea, work on it relentlessly. Take advantage of your university days to discuss your ideas with your professors and turn them into reality.”

Mr. Ganapathy also highlighted the importance of skills and fundamentals when it comes to placement and career preparation. "At Bellatrix, we value not just academic knowledge but the depth of your skills and passion. Your mastery of the basics will set you apart in job interviews and internships.” He concluded his address by encouraging self-motivation. “Self-inspiration is vital for growth. Cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and apply it, whether in business or your future profession.”

Presiding over the event, Dr. Shyama Raju praised Mr. Ganapathy’s journey from a 19-year-old entrepreneur to a CEO as both inspiring and motivating. “Today marks an important milestone, and I am thrilled to welcome our new students to this Temple of Learning. It is through the youth that we can build a better society,” he remarked. He further emphasised the importance of learning beyond the classroom. “Degrees are just the beginning. What matters is your hunger to learn and develop skills beyond your classwork. I envision all of you becoming job providers when you graduate from REVA.”

The induction program, designed to help new students transition smoothly into university life, provided valuable insights into their respective programmes, campus resources, and the opportunities available for personal and professional development.  As REVA University continues to nurture talent and encourage innovation, the Freshmen Batch of 2024-2025 embarks on a transformative educational journey, equipped to achieve success in their future careers.
