There is limited space in urban homes. Therefore, growing a window garden seems difficult, but it is really not. If you are someone who loves plants then you really need to continue your hobby and find ways to grow a window garden. Window gardens are perfect for apartments where space is limited.

Herbs like lavender, sage, thyme, rosemary, basils, parsley etc are perfect for a small home garden. There are also many benefits of growing herbs at home. You can enjoy fresh herbs every time they are needed and add them to your recipes. It feels satisfying to grow your herbs by yourself and use them later - be it in cooking, or simply adding a soothing fragrance to your space by doing a smudge. 

  • Vegetables:

Another perfect option for a window garden is vegetables. The trend of having kitchen gardens has caught on everywhere - in cities as well as small towns. And it is always fun to pick veggies from your own garden and make something delicious out of it! You can easily grow vegetables like tomatoes, and ladies finger after getting earthen pots, considering the size of the plant and sow the seeds accordingly.

Light is one of the most important parts of growing your window plants. It is obvious that plants need light to grow. Not many people consider this important point while growing plants at home. You should grow your window garden in a place that has ample of natural light that is required for the plants. 

The containers that are needed for the window gardens are called window boxes. These boxes are easily available online or even in markets. You can also use ceramic clay pots, hanging baskets or plastic buckets for your garden. But another most important thing to consider is the soil. Make sure to use a good quality of soil that drains well and also put a layer of gravel at the bottom. Do not forget to water your plants every day, and you will have the most beautiful window garden that people will envy!
