Suryakumar Yadav is going through a fantastic phase with the bat in T20 Internationals. During the past few days, Surya has achieved many things in the T20I format. Surya was recently awarded the ICC Men's T20 International Cricketer of the Year and also is the number one T20I batsman in the ICC Men's T20 International rankings.

Surya recently showed his tremendous batting skills when he sensibly guided Team India to a victory in the second T20 International against New Zealand in Lucknow. The pitch was very helpful for the spinners and it needed a lot of effort from the Indian batters to chase down a small target of 100. Surya played a sensible and steady knock of 26 runs off 31 balls and won Team India the game in the last over.

Surya was recently asked by a reporter during a press conference about how he manages to be so calm and finish the game like MS Dhoni

Surya gives a hilarious reply

Surya gave a hilarious reply to the question, Surya said, "T20 series started in Ranchi so maybe that calm attitude came from there, but I guess a lot of domestic cricket which I played before making my international debut, that has helped me a lot. Because of the grind that we have there, we play on difficult conditions and challenging tracks and you have to apply yourselves, so whatever I have learned there I have carried here. Rest whatever I have learned is by watching the senior players and talking to them about how they tackle various difficult situations."

Suryakumar Yadav is known for his calm and composed nature and at a time when batting looked really difficult Surya kept his cool and guided Team India to a victory. On a pitch where batting first New Zealand just managed to score 99 runs, a target of 100 runs looked really difficult for the Indian batsmen as the pitch was really difficult for batting. At one stage there were 3 runs required of 1 ball, but Surya kept his calm and guided Team India to victory with captain Hardik Pandya was absolutely commendable.
