The International Cricket Council (ICC) has often managed to entertain the cricket fans on social media with its witty as well as innovative captions which have not only been entertaining but at times have been annoying as well. For instance, when the governing body of world cricket had given a 'Terminator' effect to MS Dhoni's heart-breaking run out in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand, it did not go down well with the Indian fans as well as cricket fans in general. Speaking about World Cup 2019, England's World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan was seen having a discussion with the team's new head coach Chris Silverwood as ICC decided to have a question-answer session with the fans.

The 2019 World Cup final

England had won their maiden World Cup earlier this year at the 'Mecca of Cricket' in Lord's against New Zealand by a boundary count rule which received a lot of criticism not only from the fans as well as the cricketing fraternity. The outcome of the contest could not be determined after both teams were tied at the same score of 241 at the end of 100 overs as the match went into the super over. Even the super over was tied but since England had scored more boundaries than New Zealand, they were adjudged winners. During the final over of the regulation time, Martin Guptill's throw had deflected off Ben Stokes' bat and went to the boundary and since Stokes had run two, the on-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena had signalled it as six runs. Nonetheless, five-time ICC Umpire of the Year winner Simon Taufel said that only five runs should have been awarded instead of six.

The World Cup finalists will renew their rivalry when England tour New Zealand for two Tests and five T20Is from November 1 to 3rd December 2019.
