With WWE SummerSlam 2023 on the horizon the interest is beginning to pick up for the event. Three marquee fights have been announced for the pay-perview. Plus, much-anticipated returns of Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt are predicted. However, in the midst there is one more fight has been inscribed on the match card.

WWE has announced an official grudge match for the WWE SummerSlam 2023 premium live event. The card for the August 5 event in Detroit, Michigan is already stacked, with several major matches fueling interest in the event. WWE has officially added one more match to the SummerSlam card, confirming that Ronda Rousey will face Shayna Baszler. WWE posted a graphic for the match on X (Twitter), writing, BREAKING: Former friends, allies, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler will battle at SummerSlam.

This comes after Baszler's assault on Rousey during their Women's Tag Team Championship defense at Money in the Bank, which resulted in Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriquez pinning Rousey to win the gold.The two have sparred on recent Raw episodes, with Rousey and Baszler agreeing to a 'fight' on Monday's (July 24) show. Prior to joining WWE, Rousey and Baszler competed in the UFC, with Rousey, Baszler, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke dubbed the "Four Horsewomen of MMA."
