Champions Trophy 2025: Rohit Sharma -led Team India earned a hefty amount of Rs 20 crore after winning the Champions Trophy 2025 on March 9 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Men in Blue clinched a stunning four-wicket triumph over New Zealand to get their hands on the silverware for a record third time. Meanwhile, the runner-up, New Zealand, would receive Rs 12 crore. 

It was a team performance from Team India that helped them win the final clash over the Black Caps. In the first inning, Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav led the Indian bowling attack, which restricted New Zealand to 251/7. During the run chase, Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul played stupendous knocks and helped the Men in Blue to win the ICC event.

Rohit Sharma's side stayed unbeaten throughout the 15-match ICC tournament. They beat Bangladesh in their opening match of the ICC event. Following that they won against Pakistan and New Zealand. In the semi-final, Rohit Sharma-led Team India beat Australia by 44 runs to make it to the final. In the final, the Men in Blue sealed a four-wicket win over the Kiwis.

New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat against India, however, that did not help the Kiwis much. Will Young and Rachin Ravindra cemented a 57-run opening partnership. After the dismissal of the two openers, New Zealand struggled a bit to add runs on the scoreboard. Later, Michael Bracewell's unbeaten 53-run knock and Daryl Mitchell's 63 runs propelled the Kiwis to 251/7.

The Indian bowling attack once again showcased a stunning performance to restrict the Kiwis to 251/7.

During the run chase, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill solidified a stunning 105-run partnership, which made things easy for the Men in Blue. In the middle order, Shreyas Iyer (48) and Axar Patel (29) kept the Men in Blue in the game. In the end, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja stayed unbeaten to crease to help the Men in Blue win the prestigious title for a record third time.

Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell's two wicket hauls tried to defend the target. But it was not enough for them to win the title. Kyle Jamieson and Rachin Ravindra also bagged one wicket each. Rohit Sharma was named the 'Player of the Match'. Meanwhile, Rachin Ravindra received the 'Player of the Series' title.
