IPL 2025: It was a night to forget for Nitish Reddy at the Uppal as all he managed was 32 off 28. He was set and was needed to go deep and big but he could not do that on Thursday and that did not help Hyderabad as all they could post was an under-par 190 for nine in 20 overs against Lucknow.

His 28-ball stay was studded with two boundaries as well. And hence after he was dismissed, he smashed his helmet while walking back to the dressing-room. He was cleaned up by Ravi Bishnoi. The clip where he is smashing his helmet in disgust surfaced on social space and since has gone viral as fans are reacting to his act.

Meanwhile, the night at the Uppal belonged to Lucknow as they did a Hyderabad on Hyderabad. Lucknow won the game comfortably by five wickets and with 23 balls to spare. The win gave Lucknow a boost in the points table and NRR. 

Nicholas Pooran and opener Mitchell Marsh helped push through with the bat while the bowler did a phenomenal job to keep the SRH batters under control. Hyderabad did a fair job with the ball as they picked up five dismissals.

Updated IPL 2025 Standings After SRH vs LSG Clash

After the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Super Giants match-up, the Rishabh Pant-led side took a massive leap and reached the number two spot in the IPL 2025 standings due to their better NRR. Royal Challengers Bengaluru are currently the table toppers, with Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings and the Delhi Capitals at the number three, four and five spots respectively. 

The Sunrisers Hyderabad slumped to the number six spot after suffering a loss against LSG, and they have the Kolkata Knight Riders right behind them at the number seven spot.
