'Go Out And...' - 43-YO MS Dhoni Shares His Fitness Secret Ahead of IPL 2025 to Harbhajan Singh

IPL 2025: Another season of the Indian Premier League and another season of MS Dhoni . It is the perfect cocktail. IPL sans Dhoni is unthinkable. As he readies up for another season of the cash-rich league - how fit is he, is the question in everyone's mind, and how does he manage to stay fit even at 43?

Days ahead of the season opener between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Dhoni made the big revelation. He made the big revelation to his former India and CSK teammate Harbhajan Singh. The former off-spinner revealed the conversation he had with Dhoni at Rishabh Pant 's sister's wedding. 

“I just met him recently at one of our friend's daughter's weddings. He looked very fit, solid,” Harbhajan Singh said on ESPNcricinfo.

‘Go out and play’

"I asked him, 'What you are doing at this age, isn't it tough?' He said, 'Yes, it's difficult, but this is the only thing I like doing. I find joy in it. I want to do it, go out and play.', added MS Dhoni's former CSK teammate.

"It's hard without playing any cricket (throughout the year). He is showing how it's done. He must be doing something better than the others. He is not just surviving, he is dominating all the bowlers," Harbhajan concluded.

MS FEAT

Dhoni has scored 4,669 runs for CSK and happens to be the second leading run-getter for the franchise. He is just behind Suresh Raina.

Raina has amassed 4,687 runs and is the current leading run-scorer for CSK. All Dhoni needs is 18 more runs to go past Raina. 

Also, with 10 more catches behind the stumps, Dhoni would become the first player to take 200 catches in IPL. So yes, Dhoni has a lot on his radar in IPL 2025.
