IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians will start their campaign against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings. The match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai's happy hunting ground. The Mumbai Indians, who finished last in IPL 2024, will look to change their fortunes this time around. Mumbai Indians have shown a lot of faith in their skipper Hardik Pandya and he will continue to lead the five-time champions in the eighteenth edition of the Indian Premier League.
Unfortunately for Mumbai, Hardik Pandya won't be leading them in their opening clash against Chennai Super Kings. Hardik is serving a one-match ban that was imposed on him for Mumbai's slow over rate against Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024. Both Chennai and Mumbai who share 10 IPL titles between them will look to outplay each other and start their IPL 2025 campaign on a victorious note.
Hardik Pandya, apart from being the clutch player that he is oozes a lot of swag and confidence in the manner in which he plays the game. Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya is one of those players who is equally good both with the bat and the ball in his hands. Pandya shared the new ball with Mohammed Shami in the recently culminated ICC Champions Trophy and he was extremely handy with the bat too.
The Mumbai Indians outfit recently shared a viudeo on their social media platform which shows Hardik Pandya going berserk in Mumbai Indians' training nets. But what caught all the eyeballs were a few 'no look' shots that Pandya hit in the nets.
After the debacle in 2024, Mumbai Indians will be etching to go big in IPL 2024. Mumbai Indians look like a very formidable side this time around and they have the likes of Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar and Mitchell Santner in their side.
As deadly as Mumbai's batting is, their bowling also stands out and gives them a chance to succeed and win their sixth IPL title.
