BCCI has announced a whopping 58 crore prize money for the Indian Cricket Team for winning the Champions Trophy 2025 title. Led by Rohit Sharma the Men In Blue defeated New Zealand in the final by six wickets to lay their hand on their third Champions Trophy title.

Alongside the cricketers, the coaching staff and all the other BBCI officials will also get a chunk of the prize money. A BCCI statement confirmed the development.

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is delighted to announce a cash reward of INR 58 Crore for Team India following their triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This financial recognition honours the players, coaching and support staff and members of the Men's Selection Committee."

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has given a breakup of the prize money. He revealed that Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and other cricketers will receive 3 crore each alongside head coach Gautam Gambhir who will also receive the same amount.

In an interaction with ANI he said, "Rs 3 crore each will be given to every player. Rs 3 crore will be given to the head coach (Gautam Gambhir), Rs 50 lakh will be given to the remaining coaches (assistant coaches Ryan Ten Doeschate, Abhishek Nayar, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, bowling coach Morne Morkel), remaining support staff will 50 lakh each and BCCI officials will get Rs 25 lakh each."

This also happens to be Rohit Sharma's second ICC title as the captain of the Indian Cricket Team. he also became the first Indian skipper to lead India to all four ICC major finals and he guided India to two major ICC trophies without losing a single match.

The focus will now shift to the IPL which will now kickstart on March 22. Defending champions KKR will host RCB in the IPL 2025 opener at the Eden Gardens.
