IND vs BAN 1st Test: India are hosting Bangladesh for a two-match Test series. The first game of the series is being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. India have a long road ahead of them as far as Test cricket is concerned. They have to play ten Test matches in the last leg of their World Test Championship (WTC) campaign. Rohit Sharma -led India play five Test matches at home (2 against Bangladesh and 3 against New Zealand). They will play the other five against Australia later this year in Australia.

Rishabh Pant Scores A Scintillating Hundred

Nobody can deny the fact that Rishabh Pant and Test cricket is a love story that everybody watches. The aggressive and fearless approach that Pant has towards Test match batting is something that cricket fans all over the world enjoy. The first IND vs BAN Test match is Rishabh Pant's comeback to red ball cricket after his fatal accident in December 2022.

Coincidentally, Rishabh Pant 's last Test match before that accident was also against Bangladesh and his Test return is also against the same opponent. Rishabh Pant, undoubtedly has made a stylish comeback to Test cricket. The flamboyant Indian wicketkeeper-batsman scored his sixth Test hundred and also equalled former India captain MS Dhoni 's record who also has the same number of hundreds in Test cricket. Before Pant walked out to bat in Chennai during the second session of Day 3, he was spotted worshipping his bat and other gears that he uses.

Rishabh Pant Equals MS Dhoni 's Test Record

While coming up the ranks, Pant was always considered as MS Dhoni 's successor. The India wicketkeeper-batsman had a very tough time in his initial days due to his aggressive batting style in white-ball cricket but slowly slowly Pant made a mark for himself in the red ball format. Out of the six Test hundreds, four of them have come overseas and this speaks volumes about Rishabh and his capabilities
