As Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill continued their impressive partnership, demoralizing the Bangladesh team with their stroke play, the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman turned to Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and suggested placing a fielder on the leg-side.
"Arey idhar aayega ek. Idhar kam fielder hai," Pant was heard saying, which translates to "One fielder will come here, there are fewer fielders here." To everyone's surprise, Najmul Hossain Shanto obliged, placing a fielder in the midwicket region.

Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant cantered to fluent fifties as India reached 205 for three at lunch in their second innings on the third day to take total control of the first Test against Bangladesh here on Saturday.
Shubman Gill (86 batting) and Rishabh Pant (82 batting), who have so far added 138 runs for the unbroken fourth wicket, were at the crease at the end of the first session with India, overnight 81 for three, extending their lead to 432 runs.
Gill, beginning the day from 33, and Pant, resuming from 12, exploited the inability of Bangladesh bowlers to make the best out of a cool, damp morning with sensible shot-making.
