Ind vs Ban: Is it possible that Virat Kohli is out, he is walking back and the crowd still cheers? It happened! This strange thing happened on Thursday at the Chepauk in Chennai during the opening Test versus Bangladesh . Kohli perished early for six. He went for a drive outside the off-stump only to find a edge and get caught by the wicketkeeper. In an Indian venue you do not expect fans to cheer when Kohli is out and is walking back to the pavilion. But it happened, because young Rishabh Pant was coming out to bat. Pant is making a comeback to Test cricket after more than a year and that is why there was the roar.
Here is the clip.
Meanwhile, India is on the back foot early in the first Test. Inside the first hour, the hosts have been reduced to 34 for three. The side has lost three crucial wickets in Rohit Sharma , Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli . Mahmud Hasan has picked up all three wickets that have fallen. At the time of filing the copy, Rishabh Pant had just walked in and joined Yashasvi Jaiswal. India would be hoping that Pant and Jaiswal can get the Indian innings back on track.
