IPL 2024 Auction: Aussie domination

Ahead of the start of the IPL 2024 Auction, Sam Curran held the title of being the most expensive signing in IPL, however, the English all-rounder has been dethroned in this year's auction. Pat Cummins went for Rs. 20.50 crores and briefly became the highest grosser of the event, however, Mitchell Starc came in and broke all the records. It took at least 15 minutes for a franchise, which eventually turned out to be KKR, to come up with a winning bid. Rs. 24.75 crores is the whopping amount at which the bidding war stopped for Starc.

Besides the Aussie pacers, there were some other overseas players as well who created a melee at the IPL 2024 auction.
