Ishan Kishan has smashed his maiden IPL hundred in his first game for Sunrisers Hyderabad . The southpaw hit a stand-and-deliver 45 balls hundred to make his mark in IPL 2025.

Ishan wasn't retained by Mumbai Indians after IPL 2024 and he was snapped up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping 11.25 crore at the IPL 2025 auction. The southpaw hit 11 fours and 6 sixes as he lit up the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The 26-year-old also isn't part of the current Indian team setup and would hope to reignite his chances with a good IPL season.

Ishan Kishan Credited Travis Head And Abhishek Sharma For His Hundred

Ishan Kishan insisted that the stage set by Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma helped him to get his maiden Ton for SRH.

"Just feel good. I was hoping for it [the century]. The team is doing well, and the environment is very different... When Abhishek and Head started the innings, they gave a lot of confidence to us batters. Credit goes to them also. The pitch was really good, and we were just trying to get them under pressure. We need to be on point, just keep things simple. It's all about not panicking."

Sunrisers Hyderabad Failed To Beat Their Own Record

Sunrisers amassed 287 runs, the second-highest score in IPL history. They scored 288 runs against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and failed to beat their own record by a whisker. Both Head and Abhishek started the IPL 2025 in the same manner they left the last season. SRH proved to be the second-best team in the IPL last season as they lost to KKR in the final. They will be hoping to ride their luck this time as their search for the second IPL title has continued. Hyderabad will now host Rishabh Pant's Lucknow Super Giants on March 27.
