The fan pointed the non-selection of Washington Sundar in the Titans XI. The fan reckoned Sundar should have ben there. This comment caught the attention of the Google CEO, who responded.

“How Sundar sneaks into the best 15 of India but doesn't get a place in any IPL XI when 10 teams exist is a mystery,” the fan posted on social media platform X (formerly called Twitter).

PBKS BEAT GT

Punjab Kings have risen to the number three spot after securing an 11-run win over Gujarat Titans , who are at the number 8 spot. Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings and the Delhi Capitals have secured the number one, two four and five spots on the table. All teams have a two-point lead, but SRH are at the top due to their net run rate.

For PBKS, it was Shreyas Iyer who came up with the goods and led from the front. Iyer remained unbeaten on 97* as PBKS registered a mammoth 243 for five. His blistering knock also earned him the POTM.

"Getting 97 not out in the opening game of the season for us is the icing on the cake. I got a four the first ball I faced and it got me going. That flick six off Rabada as well. 44 runs he (Shashank) scored off 16-17 balls was pretty crucial for the team. We set a benchmark that we had to go for it," Iyer said at the post-match presentation.

The Titans would like to get their campaign going when they meet Mumbai Indians on March 29.
