Shardul Thakur has been in carnage mode ever since he was a part of the IPL 2025 season. The all-rounder has showcased a lot of potential with the ball and has been a tremendous asset to the side. Thakur exhibited potential while bowling against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and picked up two crucial wickets in the game. Shardul scalped out two of Hyderabad's top-order batters in sheer fashion, with one of the batters being dismissed for a golden duck.
It looks like the Sunrisers Hyderabad are struggling against the Lucknow Super Giants at Uppal. The hosts' top order was rattled early in the competition, allowing the Rishabh Pant-led side to capitalize. Shardul Thakur picked up two early dismissals to uplift LSG in the game. Lucknow has gained a massive boost of confidence courtesy of Thakur's brilliance as he picked up consecutive wickets in the game's first innings.
At the beginning of the 2nd over, Shardul Thakur delivers a short ball and opener Abhishek Sharma pulls it up. The ball flies towards the deep square leg, and Nicholas Pooran is stationed there, who picked up a sweet catch to open Lucknow's wicket-taking account. Lord Shardul lifts the finger in celebration as he takes out the big fish.
In the second delivery, Shardul Thakur swings a delivery, and Ishan Kishan lets it go behind. But it looks like the ball was knicked by the Indian stumper, and Rishabh Pant made the catch. Thakur breaks out in a celebration, and Kishan walks back without reviewing it. Ishan, who picked up his maiden IPL century last time at the Uppal, was dismissed for a golden duck.
The Lucknow Super Giants won the toss against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. LSG captain Rishabh Pant has chosen to bowl first, which is surprising given that Hyderabad nearly broke the record for the highest team total in IPL history. However, Pant and the Super Giants look prepared for the challenge, and they have done well so far.
LSG's bowling unit has been impressive so far, and with five wickets down, the momentum has shifted towards the away side. SRH fans will be biting their fingers as the match hasn't been as action-packed as it was the last time they played at Uppal.
