On the occasion of Holi , the Lucknow Super Giants organized a full-blown celebration, which was joined by the cricketers and coaching staff. The popular Indian festival is celebrated in March with vibrant colours to commemorate the joy of life as well as the triumph of good over evil. The team was seen drenched in water with colour smeared all over them as they enjoyed the festivities.
The Lucknow Super Giants went full blast over their Holi celebrations ahead of the IPL 2025 season. The colourful festival falls around the IPL season, with several players being a part of the camps to engage in team training and practice. Cricketers get themselves a day to relish the festivities as well as the Holi delicacies. The players, coaching and support staff were seen celebrating the festival with full enthusiasm and excitement. LSG coach Justin Langer also joined the festivities and shook a leg in a popular 90s Bollywood song 'Apni Toh Jaise Taise' sung by renowned Hindi singer Kishore Kumar.
In a video shared by the Lucknow Super Giants on 'X' (Formerly Twitter), the franchise head coach could be seen shaking a leg and following on to the steps as they revel in the celebration of Holi. "Nawabi andaaz, rangeen mizaaz," LSG captioned the post.
The Holi celebrations saw the entire franchise come together and drenched in the excitement of the spring festival with colours. Amid the festivities, LSG skipper Rishabh Pant has also joined the Lucknow camp.
After coming off a Champions Trophy Final win against New Zealand in Dubai, Rishabh Pant arrived in Mussoorie for his sister Sakshi Pant's wedding, which was attended by former India cricketers MS Dhoni and Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir, among others. After being with his family for his sister's marriage, Pant has headed for his IPL duties and joined the LSG camp. He also engaged in the Holi festivities and was pictured alongside the franchise's vice-captain, Nicholas Pooran.
The Lucknow Super Giants will begin their IPL 2025 campaign in an away match against the Delhi Capitals at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium on 24th March 2025.
