Champions Trophy 2025 has set a new landmark for viewership. JioHotstar has registered an unprecedented milestone in OTT history following the completion of another marquee ICC event.
The Champions Trophy 2025 amassed over 540 crore views while a whopping 11,000 crore minutes of watch time were witnessed. India lifted their third ICC Champions Trophy title after defeating New Zealand by six wickets in the final in Dubai. The summit clash saw a whopping 124.2 crore views while the match also recorded a massive 6.12 crore peak concurrent viewers underlining JioHotstar's supremacy in sports streaming business.
"What a journey the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 has been! With over 540+ crore views, 11,000 crore minutes of watch time, and a peak concurrency of 6.12 crore, these numbers tell a powerful story of scale, passion, and the evolution of digital streaming in India," Kiran Mani, CEO, Digital at JioStar said in a post on LinkedIn.
The final match attracted a total of 90 crore views on JioHotstar, exceeding the viewership of the India vs Australia semifinal which garnered a total of 66.9 crore views. The Indo-Pak group stage clash had a viewership of 60.2 crore. Mani further added, "But beyond the numbers, what truly stands out is how our teams are relentlessly pushing boundaries to make premium sports experiences effortlessly accessible to millions. "Proud of what we've built together — this is just the beginning of unlocking infinite possibilities!"
India's match against Australia also set the record for the highest ever single day subscription in OTT history. This also happens to be the first time an ICC event was broadcast live across 16 feeds, including nine languages, English, Hindi, Marathi, Haryanvi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
38% of the total viewership came from the Hindi region with Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Goa, Punjab and Haryana among the leaders.
