KL Rahul Flies Back Home, Set To Miss Delhi Capitals' IPL 2025 Opener Against Lucknow Super Giants

K Rahul is all set to miss Delhi Capitals ' IPL 2025 opener against Lucknow Super Giants . As per Cricbuzz, Rahul has received special permission from the Delhi Capitals management and will fly to his home to be with his wife  Athiya Shetty. family friend of Rahul told Cricbuzz, “He has returned home to be with his wife, as the baby is expected any time. However, he is certain to be available for the team's next game.”

KL Rahul Misses Delhi Capitals First Game Against LSG

Rahul had joined the DC camp but there have been reports that the player might miss a couple of matches due to personal reasons. The couple is expecting their first baby and Rahul decided to be with his wife at this time. The star Indian batter wasn't retained by LSG after IPL 2024, and DC snapped him up for a whopping INR 14 crore.

Rahul Will Play A Huge Role For Delhi Capitals

Rahul played a huge part in India's recent Champions Trophy triumph and will be central to the Capitals' plans. They haven't lifted the IPL title once and have overhauled their entire setup. They roped in head coach Hemang Badani, director of cricket Venugopal Rao, mentor Kevin Pietersen, bowling coach Munaf Patel and assistant coach Matthew Mott in a bid to turn around their fortunes.'
