KL Rahul shares humble reaction to Gavaskar's 'best Test ton' shoutout after making history vs SA

KL Rahul came out as the saviour of the franchise as Team India reached 245 runs at the end of their innings. While the team's top-order batters could not make much of an impact, Rahul put up a towering effort to aid the team as they faltered in the first half of the innings. The SA bowling line-up turned out to be a dominant force, but they could not take the keeper-batter that easily. Some cricket legends have applauded Rahul's ton, and he had a priceless reaction to one of the compliments.

KL Rahul left amazed after Indian cricket legend applauds his ton

KL Rahul's heroic eighth century at Centurion, South Africa, has received plaudits from Indian Cricket legend, Sunil Gavaskar. The effort by the keeper-batter deserves all the praise as it will be marked as one of the greatest ones in his career.

In the post-match press conference, a reporter brought up Gavaskar's comments to light. before he could finish the statement, KL gasped 'wow' in excitement. Rahul also shared his thoughts over Gavaskar's statement.

"Firstly, I'm very humbled he's made that comment. It's a pretty huge compliment to get. Batting in the middle order, what I've realised is that you can't really plan your innings all that much when you walk in. There is a situation in front of you. The game tells you how you need to play and what you need to do in that time and in that moment," the wicketkeeper-batter said.

With his gritty efforts, KL Rahul has made himself an irreplaceable performer in all three formats, and he could continue his display down the road.
