‘Everybody Would Have Started Criticising’: Rohit Responds to Critics After India’s Bold Performance
Rohit Sharma slammed the critics for taking a risky approach to achieve their desired results during the 2nd India vs Bangladesh Test Match in Kanpur.
Team India's streak of dominance continues in Test cricket as they remain strong in their fortress. The Men in Blue are coming off a whitewash win against Bangladesh at home, with the Kanpur Test being a historic match-up. Skipper Rohit Sharma chose to give it all to get the win after two days of play were washed out. Notably, the home side made use of their aggressive intent after the circumstances they had at hand, which was a point of contention among the fans.

Rohit Sharma Takes a Strong Take over Critics After Team India’s Aggressive Showcase During Kanpur Test
During an interview with the BCCI.tv, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma opened up on the team's aggressive intent on Day 4 of the Kanpur Test at the Green Park Stadium. The India captain opened up on taking risks after two days of play was washed out, and Team India needed a win to solidify themselves in the World Test Championship standings. He also took a swipe at the critics for opting a risky approach to get the results. He pointed out that the critics would have been all out against them if the results did not land in their favour.
"When things fall in place, everything looks good, and that is where it can change very quickly when things don't fall in place. Everybody would have started criticizing the decision we took and all of that. But what matters is what we think inside this changing room, and that is what matters.
"It was a clear plan that we want a result. How did we get that... everybody started finding answers to that," Rohit Sharma said after the India vs Bangladesh Test Match in Kanpur.

Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal began batting aggressively during Team India's 1st Innings against Bangladesh . The skipper hit the first ball for a six off Nahid Rana's delivery, which set the tone for the host side. The Men in Blue quickly took the lead and also broke records in the process after becoming the fastest side to reach the 50, 100, 150, & 200 run mark in Test Cricket. The Indian side took the risk to go aggressive, and it paid off well for them, but if the result went the other way, the Indian skipper was ready to embrace it.
