Former India captain and wicketkeeper MS Dhoni once again set the internet on fire after a viral video of him with his wife Sakshi singing to the renowned 'Tu Jaane Na' song has been trending all over the internet. The couple recently attended Rishabh Pant's sister's wedding ceremony in Mussoorie. Apart from Dhoni, his former Indian teammate Suresh Raina also attended the marriage function.
Earlier, Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir also landed in Dehradun on March 12 to attend Pant's sister's wedding ceremony. Under Gambhir's coaching, the Men in Blue stayed unbeaten in the recently concluded Champions Trophy 2025 and won the title after beating New Zealand by four wickets in the finals.
Rishabh Pant was also part of Team India's squad for the Champions Trophy 2025, but he didn't play a single match in the tournament. Following the Men in Blue's triumph in Dubai, Pant travelled straight back to Mussoorie to grace his sister's wedding.
In the upcoming Indian Premier League 2025, both Dhoni and Pant will be taking part. Even though Dhoni had already started his training for Chennai Super Kings. But Pant is yet to join his new franchise in the T20 tournament, Lucknow Super Giants.
During the IPL 2025 mega-auction, the Lucknow-based franchise signed the Indian wicketkeeper Pant for a hefty amount of Rs 278 crore, which made him the most expensive player in IPL history. Ahead of the 18th season of the T20 tournament, LSG named the Indian wicketkeeper-batter as the franchise's captain. Pant played 111 matches in IPL, scoring 3284 runs at a strike rate of 148.93. In the previous season, he scored 446 runs from 13 matches at a strike rate of 155.40.
On the other hand, Dhoni has been an IPL veteran, representing the Chennai-based franchise from the first season of the tournament except in 2016 and 2017, when he played for Rising Pune Supergiants. The former CSK skipper appeared in 264 IPL matches and amassed 5243 runs at a strike rate of 137.54. In IPL 2024, the 43-year-old played 14 matches and scored 161 runs.
