Champions Trophy 2025: Following the shambolic show in CT 2025, the trend continued in the tour of New Zealand as well and now it seems that Pakistan cricket has hit rock bottom.
While there seems no light at the end of the tunnel, the former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has given some sound piece of advice. Asking the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to learn from it's mistakes, Inzamam urged them not to repeat them.
“I would think that the cricket board now needs to learn from its mistakes and not repeat the same mistakes we have made in the last two years.
“In the past two years, the performance of the Pakistan team has been on a decline. If we don’t work in the right direction, we will continue to fall further,” said Inzamam.
Inzamam made it clear that constant changes in team management was not a solution to the problem.
“We need to sit down and think about where the mistakes are being made,” he said.
Inzamam said that being a former captain and player he knew that when constant changes are made, it only undermines the players.
“Instead of making too many changes, we need to think carefully about where things are going wrong. If there are constant changes, players won’t gain the confidence they need, and the situation will remain the same,” he further said.
NZ vs PAK
The Pakistan national team is currently in New Zealand where their fortunes have not changed yet.
They have played two games and lost both in the ongoing five-match T20I series. After two consecutive losses, it will be interesting to see if the Men in Green make any changes to their XI.
