The Rohit Sharma -led Indian Cricket Team have secured the bragging rights over New Zealand and has established its dominance in the game of cricket. Their clinical performance earned them the coveted Champions Trophy title. No other team has won the title three times, and this is also the first time that India has won two consecutive ICC titles after the Men's T20 World Cup 2024.

It was an absolute party among the Indian fans after all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored the winning runs for the Indian Cricket Team and won the Champions Trophy summit clash. India has been on a roll, as they have also won the Men's T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. 

Apart from the coveted ICC title, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian Cricket Team also earned the iconic white jackets, which are presented to the players of the winning side. The blazers were presented by ICC chairperson Mr. Jay Shah and BCCI President Mr. Roger Binny, who helped them wear it before the ICC chairperson presented the title to the winning captain, Rohit Sharma.

India Win Champions Trophy FInal Over New Zealand In Sheer Fashion

Team India opener Rohit Sharma delivered a captain's knock for the side, scoring an 83-ball 76 to help the Men in Blue gain some early momentum. He formed a clinical partnership with vice-captain Shubman Gill, who scored 31 off 50 balls before being dismissed. While KohliMania failed as Virat Kohli was dismissed for one run, Iyer scored a clinical 48 runs, and Axar Patel scored 29 against New Zealand's formidable spin army. Skipper Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell each took two wickets, derailing India's momentum in the game. But, in the end, India remained unbeaten and are now undisputed champions. This is the team's second consecutive ICC title after the ICC Men's T20 World Cup win in Barbados. Ravindra Jadeja hit the winning runs for the side.
